Advice Process

All advice is provided by our qualified and lead authorised representative with extensive industry experience and is able to provide this advice in all of these areas.

Our advice process is as follows:

  • Gather financial information about you
  • Identify your financial and lifestyle goals
  • Identify any financial issues
  • Prepare a financial plan
  • Implement the plan
  • Ongoing review and revise the plan at regular intervals or when you experience life changes

Initial Meeting and Assessment

Initial Meeting and Assessment

At the initial meeting, you’ll be introduced to your financial adviser for an hour long consultation to discuss why you came to see us.

We will explore your current situation both financially and personally, your goals and objectives and identify the areas that we need to focus on to help you in achieving this.

To ensure that we can accurately assess your current situation, your financial adviser will go through a Fact Find report with you. This gives us the information that we require to assess your overall position and then commit to a tailored plan with a suitable fee package.

Assess & Analysis

Assess & Analysis

Following the initial meeting, you will receive an email from our office with our FSG, a summary of the discussions had during the meeting and a Letter of Engagement.

This needs to be signed before we can provide any advice or implement any strategies relating to your financial situation so it is important that this is signed and returned as soon as possible.

This will also include the Advice Fee and recommended strategies based on what was discussed at the meeting.

We will then analyse the information obtained and gather further information to assist in providing advice that is relevant to you. This includes the following steps;

  • Contact your superannuation fund for the following information;
  • Balance of your super and any regular contributions;
  • How funds ae invested;
  • Insurances in place and premiums paid;
  • Contact any current insurers (if applicable) to confirm cover and premium amounts.

We then formulate a strategy and prepare your initial Statement of Advice. This is a comprehensive document outlining your situation and our recommended strategy.

Your financial adviser will present this document to you ensuring you understand and are comfortable with any recommendations we have made.

The Plan

The Plan

After the Letter of Engagement has been signed and returned, we will book you in for your second meeting where we will present the Statement of Advice. This is usually 2-3 weeks after the first appointment to allow us to gather the information and carry out research.

During this meeting we will provide our advice to address your goals. This can include;

  • Cash flow
  • Savings plan
  • Investment portfolio
  • Super funds & contributions
  • Wealth protection
  • Debt management
  • Estate planning

We will discuss each strategy with you at length and this is an opportunity for you to ask any questions relating to our process or recommendations.

We will also go through all of the paperwork that needs to be submitted in relation to the strategy.

Implementation

Implementation

If you’re confident with our recommendations, our team will commence implementation of the proposed strategies. We will then assist and facilitate any third party meetings where required with respective brokers, accountants, solicitors or alternate referral partners.

  • Implement recommendations
  • Implement the plan
  • Establish investment accounts
  • Establish super funds
  • Execute investment transactions
  • Arrange insurance policies
  • Monitor your cash flow
  • Debt restructuring
  • Arrange estate planning meetings

We will update you regularly with where things are up to during this period and are available for any questions you may have in relation to this.

We will confirm when each recommendation has been implemented and cancel any previous policies on your behalf. When the implementation has completed we’ll arrange a review meeting to ensure everything is running smoothly. The ongoing advice process covers any additional ad hoc advice, as well as regular reviews, as required.

Review & Ongoing Service

Review & Ongoing Service

It takes more than a financial plan and a single meeting to meet your goals. Your current situation, goals and strategy need to be reviewed regularly to keep you on track, because it is difficult to predict if and when things may change.

We therefore recommend that you appoint us to provide the following review service to you.

  • Annual face to face review meeting.
  • Determine if strategy is still relevant to circumstances
  • Reviewing performance in consideration to goals and objectives
  • Minor amendments to advice that requires the legal documentation of a Record of advice is at no additional cost
  • Administration requirements as requested by client or determined by practice
  • Quarterly industry newsletters
  • Unlimited access to Finstyle planners for enquires and queries concerning your investments

Your ongoing service program will continue until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive ongoing advice and service. Your ongoing service program can be ceased at any time by contacting Brad Isaac.
