Fees & engagement

The fees, on the table.

Most advice firms make you sit through a meeting to learn what it costs. We'd rather you walk in already knowing. Here it is, in plain English.

Publishing fees is rare in this industry. We do it because the absence of a price reads one of two ways, "cheap" or "they'll ambush me", and neither is true of us.

Every figure below comes from our Financial Services Guide, and your exact fee is always agreed in writing before any work begins. No engagement has ever started with a surprise, and none ever will.

The three fee stages

What it costs, stage by stage.

Getting started

$440

Discovery & Engagement Fee, credited against your advice

  • Your first conversation, a 5–10 minute Clarity Call, is free
  • Discovery meeting: your situation, goals and priorities, properly understood
  • Engagement meeting: scope, strategy directions and a fixed advice quote agreed in writing
  • The full $440 is credited against your Statement of Advice fee if you proceed

Your advice

from $6,600

fixed quote agreed at your Engagement Meeting

  • Full strategy research and long-term modelling of your options
  • Your Statement of Advice: formal recommendations presented in plain English
  • A fixed price, agreed in writing before any work begins
  • For the advice itself, less the $440 already paid at the Getting-started stage

Ongoing partnership

from $6,600

per year, covering implementation and everything after

  • Implementation of your advice: we obtain your authority and handle the execution
  • A post-implementation review to confirm your new position
  • A required annual strategic review, plus optional quarterly check-ins
  • Wealth Portal access, unlimited team access and a direct line to your adviser

Your Statement of Advice fee covers the advice itself. Implementing it, and the reviews that follow, sits within the ongoing service agreement, so we only implement for clients who continue with us. All figures come from our current Financial Services Guide. Lending services through Finstyle Lending are engaged separately.

The fine print, minus the fine print

What "from" means.

Complexity sets the fee, not enthusiasm.

A straightforward position costs less to advise on than multiple entities, properties and super structures. Your exact fee reflects the work your situation actually requires, and you'll see it in writing at Engagement, before anything is underway.

You can stop at any stage.

Each stage is a decision point, not a conveyor belt. Walk away after the Clarity Call, after your Statement of Advice, or after any annual review, and you only ever pay for the stage you've agreed to. Engaging us for advice never commits you to an ongoing relationship; if you'd like us to implement the plan, that's when the ongoing service agreement begins.
